Scholarships, awards and medals for current students

In addition to Faculty scholarships for future undergraduate, honours, postgraduate and research students, we also offer many different scholarships, awards and medals to current students.

Undergraduate students

  • Sir John Monash Medal
    Awarded annually to recognise extraordinary academic achievement.
  • Professor Cliff Bellamy Awards
    Multiple awards offered annually to high achieving Faculty of IT students in first and second year. Students must have completed a minimum of 24 points of study across the full academic year.
  • Undergraduate Dux 
    Awarded to the top graduating student in each of the Faculty's undergraduate degrees.
  • Dean's Achievement awards (undergraduate)
    Awarded to the top 10 (non-Bellamy) Faculty of IT undergraduate students with a minimum 90% average. Students must have completed a minimum of 24 points of study across the full academic year.
  • Noel Craske Award 
    Awarded to the student with the highest result in the Faculty in FIT1004 Data management.

Honours students

Postgraduate students

  • Academic Medal for Excellence in Graduate and Postgraduate Coursework Study
    Awarded annually in recognition of academic excellence. No application required.
  • Postgraduate Dux
    Awarded to the top graduating student in each of the Faculty's postgraduate Masters degrees.
  • Dux of Postgraduate Honours
    Awarded to the top graduating student in the Faculty's Masters (Honours) programs.
  • Dean's Achievement awards (postgraduate)
    Awarded to the top 5 postgraduate students in the Faculty with a minimum high distinction average. Students must have completed a minimum of 24 points of study across the full academic year.
  • Faculty of IT Doctoral Medal
    Awarded to the best research in a Faculty of IT PhD thesis.
  • Mollie Holman Doctoral Medal 
    Awarded to the best Faculty of IT doctoral thesis.
