EIRG brought together a range of research activities with the common objective of improving enterprise and interpersonal information flow and recorded memory, an internationally recognised area of research strength at Monash since 2000. The EIRG was initially based in the School of Information Management and Systems, Monash University, and later the Caulfield School of Information Technology (until 2006 when the Centre of Organisational and Social Informatics, COSI, was established. COSI builds on and extends the research undertaken by its predecessor.
