TEACHING ASSOCIATES RECRUITMENT (TUTORING)

The Tutor Preference System is now open for Semester 1, 2012. You can go to http://neptune.infotech.monash.edu.au/tutors and indicate the units for which you wish to be considered for sessional tutoring. Please note

There is now only one system for both Caulfield and Clayton. When you are selecting units, there is a list of Caulfield units, followed by a list of Clayton units.
Current Faculty of Information Technology postgraduate and honours students are encouraged to register for these positions. Generally undergraduate students will not be considered.

Preference Entry will close on Friday 10 February 2012.

TUTOR SESSONAL STAFF TRAINING

Staff Induction Program - STEP
The Faculty of Information Technology has a requirement that all new tutors attend the Sessional Teaching Essentials Program (STEP) run by CALT run in Orientation Week for Semester 1 and the week prior to the start of Semester. STEP is a pathway to teaching excellence for all sessional staff at Monash University. Attendance at one of these sessions will qualify you to tutor in the Faculty of Information Technology. Registration and course details will be advised at the time of your appointment.

MUSO Training
It is a Faculty of Information Technology recommendation that all staff and new tutors be trained in using MUSO. Refer to the web site to see when these sessions are being held. http://www.infotech.monash.edu.au/resources/staff/muso/training.html
Note: You will need to identify which system (e.g. Blackboard, Sakai, or Moodle) that your unit is using and register for the appropriate session.
