Re-enrolment for continuing students 2012

Each year, continuing students must re-enrol in all of their subjects for BOTH semesters one and semester two using the University's online Web Enrolment System (WES). This can only be done when WES is open, during the re-enrolment period. Some students may be required to re-enrol manually. Faculty offices will contact these students with specific re-enrolment information.

Re-enrolment steps

1. Read the re-enrolment information

Before accessing WES, students should check the re-enrolment information for their course by selecting the relevant course from the dropdown menu below.

Double degrees:	Please note, if you are undertaking a double degree you must use WES to enrol in units for both degrees during the re-enrolment period of the owning faculty for the course. Below are contact details for course advice relating to the Faculty of Information Technology component of your course.

2. Select your units

It is a student's responsibility to ensure that they comply with all course regulations and requirements. For general course information please contact the relevant School office.

To check that all prerequisite and co-requisite unit requirements are met, please refer to the Faculty of IT Course Maps.

When choosing units, assume that all Semester 2, 2011 units have been successfully completed. Undergraduate results for Semester 2, 2011 are published on 5 December 2011.
Students who are on Intermission MUST re-enrol during the re-enrolment period for 2012.
Refer to the units offered in your course in the University Handbook.
Sunway Malaysia students should refer to the unit schedule for their course to see what units are offered. Students who wish to take non-IT units can refer to the Monash Malaysia website for other unit schedules listed under relevant faculty websites.
Monash South Africa students should refer to course plans from the Student Services Centre to see what units are offered. Students who wish to take non-IT units can refer to listings of unit schedules from other faculties.

3. Log in to WES and enrol in your selected units (both core and elective)

Remember to enrol for the FULL ACADEMIC YEAR of 2012.

International students MUST be enrolled in a minimum of 24 credit points in each semester or teaching period. If you do not enrol in 24 credit points in both semester one and semester two, you may be in breach of your student visa requirements and may be reported to DIMA.

Penalties for failure to enrol during WES open period

To avoid a late fine students must complete your re-enrolment via WES during the official re-enrolment period. Failure to complete their re-enrolment during the WES open period may results in one or more of the following consequences:

Students will be required to pay a late fee of $281.00 if they are allowed to re-enrol.
Students may lose their place in the course. The Faculty will determine if there are any places still available for you to enrol in 2012.
Students may be barred from accessing WES.

Note: For students on the Sunway Malaysia or South Africa campus, the penalty will vary (refer to your campus administration).
