Decide on your research interests
To apply for a research degree you will need to know what your research is to be about.
You will need to have:
- A suitable supervisor – explore the Research areas of the Faculty to identify people you could approach.
- A suitable topic – explore the Research strengths of the Faculty to identify areas you could work in, then talk with potential supervisors to fine tune the area you are interested in.
- Checked that appropriate resources are available, including:
Write a draft proposal
To get you started and show you are ready to begin, you will need to write a draft proposal to submit along with your application. This is not your final proposal, but an outline to show your interests and your knowledge of the area. Please look here for more information.
Want a scholarship?
You’ll need to have enough funds to support yourself while you do your research. A number of scholarships are available on a competitive basis.
