Learning Objectives

Assessment Requirements

Assessment Policy

To pass a unit which includes an examination as part of the assessment a student must obtain:

  • 40% or more in the unit's examination, and
  • 40% or more in the unit's total non-examination assessment, and
  • an overall unit mark of 50% or more.

If a student does not achieve 40% or more in the unit examination or the unit non-examination total assessment, and the total mark for the unit is greater than 50% then a mark of no greater than 49-N will be recorded for the unit

    Title:
    Mid Semester Test
    Description:
    A multiple choice paper testing the understanding of conceptual principles of Internet.
    Weighting:
    25%
    Criteria for assessment:

    Demonstrate the understanding of the priciples as well their  application  to real world situations and problems.

    Due date:
    Week 9 during Tutorial Class
  • Assessment task 2
    Title:
    Resarch Paper and Presentation
    Description:
    Each student will be given a random topic that is the related to the unit. The students need to do research in the library as well as on the Internet and submit a written report in week 8 and make a presentation of 30-40 minutes to the entire class. The topic for this study will be assigned in week 2.
    Weighting:
    25%
    Criteria for assessment:

    Written report will be marked by the lecturer/tutor:

    • for its contents,
    • analysis and
    • conclusion

    The presentation will be evaluated by the lecturer and the students in the class.

    Report is due in week 8

Assignment submission
